Smart Grids

Distribution systems are receiving considerable attention around the world, with considerable investments being poured into them. They are responsible for the service quality  and the primary losses of electrical systems.

In our group we have developed an infrastructure with state of the art technology that allows determining the bestfeeder configuration and equipment placing to achieve a fast system recovery when fault happens. We also develop routines to best place and size capacitors that let the voltage profile meet the ranges approved and reduce losses.
